SR TODDLER & JR PRESCHOOL MIX

The toddler age range is 18 months to 3 years, but there is a significant difference with regards to learning and play on either end of those ages.  We felt that the senior toddlers and junior preschoolers were better suited in a classroom on their own.  In doing so, we have seen encouragement from the older children to help the younger succeed further with their potty training, speech and engagement in play.

In our mix program, the children will learn many concepts including letters, colors, shapes, numbers, size, position, patterning, sequencing, vocabulary, predicting, problem-solving, rhythm and listening skills. We ensure that the interest areas in the preschool classroom includes materials to spark their imagination and learning including: blocks, table toys/puzzles, book, dramatic, writing, science and sensory areas. The toys and planned activities in each interest area are changed weekly depending on the children’s interests.
