Our Teachers

(AKA Boss or Boss Sarah)

 Sarah is our owner/director and resident chef. Although she has level 1 in Early Childhood Education, her background has primarily been in management and marketing.  Sarah opened her first childcare centre in Mt. Uniacke in July 2005 but closed it and focused solely on Brooklyn in 2010. 

(AKA Reynolds, her maiden name) 

Sara is our designate and assistant director and graduated from NSCC with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Sara is a our float teacher who covers other teacher's days off.

(AKA Coonie, kiddos can't say Cohoon) 

Serah is our second assistant director has been an Early Childhood Educator at this centre for over 13 years and has achieved her level 1 classification. Currently she is one of our team toddler teachers.

Shannon is also a team toddler teacher. She has her diploma in Early Childhood Education from NSCC. Shannon joins us after many years of running her own home Kids Academy daycare.

Kaitlyn is an NSCC graduate with a diploma in Early Childhood Education.  You will typically find her filling in for the toddler and infant teachers on their days off. 

Amber graduated with a diploma in Early Childhood Education and is our a team teacher in our preschool classroom. 

Riley has has recently started with us as our senior preschool and pre-primary teacher.  She has just about completed her Recreation degree from Acadia and also has a Culinary Arts diploma from NSCC.  

Simone has recently moved here from Ontario. She has a diploma in Child and Youth Studies from Mohawk College and works with us part time in the after school program.

Shannon has done many placements and part time work with us while completing her Early Childhood Education at NSCC. She graduated in June 2023 and is working with us full time in our preschool and pre-primary rooms.

Courtney has also done many placements and part time work with us while completing her Early Childhood Education at NSCC. She  recently graduated in June 2023  and will be working with us full time in our infant and toddler rooms.

Natasha is completing her diploma at NSCC and will graduate in June of 2024.  She works with us part time during the school year and has done numerous practicum placements with us. We are excited to have her with us full time after graduation.

Hayley started with us part time with no formal education in the field. However, she has stepped into this role with such a natural and effortless ease, that she will be taking steps to acquire her ECE entry level status.
